Concerns: SVM-X56 3G modem
Remote monitoring and managing groundwater purification
The SVMX56, specifically developed to provide access to Priva installations, is now being used by many companies, such as SUEZ RR IWS Remediation B.V. They use the SVMX56 in various ways, including for monitoring and managing a groundwater purification plant in the UK.
A user friendly solution for phasing out CSD
Willem Mauritz, Site Supervisor at Suez: "We had a clear challenge; in Britain the network no longer supports the M2M/CSD solution. In many countries, including the Netherlands, CSD will no longer be supported as of the end of 2017. We therefore had a need for a modern technology with long-term support that is user friendly, widely deployable and secure."
Adésys foresaw the need for a solution for phasing out this technology and developed a smart and reliable solution that does not entail high costs for users.
Willem Mauritz explains what this meant for this project: "We found a solution in Adésys' SVMX56. This modem not only solves the phasing out of CSD technology, it also makes the costly and obsolete analogue lines superfluous. In addition, there no longer is a need to deploy a dedicated computer with a call-in capability. Finally, it turns out that the costs of an M2M/CSD connection are the same as the costs of this 3G connection. This makes this the only logical choice for us."
Adésys developed specialised software for the SVMX56 after which the modem was intensively tested in various user situations. Customisation this way provides a highly reliable plug & play communications solution.
