What is portal.octalarm.com and how do I create an account?

Through the Octalarm portal (portal.octalarm.com) the Octalarm-Touch and Octalarm-Touch Pro alarm diallers connected to the internet can be remotely managed and set up. Both you as an installer and your various customers can create your own company account for different devices with different users. This gives you an instant overview of all your managed alarm diallers in the field.

How do I create a (company) account?

  1. Go to https://portal.octalarm.com
  2. Create an account and log in
  3. Press '+' in the 'Devices' screen
  4. Fill in the serial number and the pairing code
    These can be found in the Octalarm-Touch or Octalarm-Touch Pro under 'Settings' | 'System information' . You can also access this screen by pressing the GSM area on the dashboard.
Which web browser do I need for the Octalarm portal?

For the correct functioning of the portal we recommend the use of Google Chrome.

How do I connect an Octalarm-Touch or Octalarm-Touch Pro to the portal?

You can link the diallers (and then manage them remotely) by adding them in the created company account by entering the serial number and the pairing code (the devices may be installed in different locations):

  1. go to https://portal.octalarm.com and log in
  2. in the screen 'Devices' press '+'
  3. fill in the serial number and the pairing code
    These can be found in the alarm detector under 'Settings' | 'System information' . You can also access this screen by pressing the GSM area on the dashboard.

After the diallers have been linked, you (but also your installer, each with his own account and his own authorization) can manage the devices remotely. The Octalarm-Touch or Octalarm-Touch Pro must be connected to the internet and the web portal must be enabled.

Points of attention

  1. Make sure that at least software version release 2 is installed
  2. Create a username and password for each user in the contact list of the dialler(s)
  3. Use these login details when setting up remotely, after you have logged into the Octalarm portal
  4. Make sure the dialler is connected to the internet and the web portal in the device is enabled
What can I do if I forgot my password from portal.octalarm.com?
  1. Go to the Octalarm portal (https://portal.octalarm.com)
  2. Enter the E-mail address of the contact / account in question
  3. Select 'New password' and follow the instructions

You will receive a new password at the relevant E-mail address. Use this new password to log in and, if necessary, to change your password to a password of your own choice. This can be done in two ways:

  1. on the Octalarm portal (portal.octalarm.com)
  2. on the device itself by clicking on the question mark on the dashboard

With the new or possibly changed password you have, in combination with the concerning E-mail address, access to both the notifier and the Octalarm portal again.
